Flash! Flash! Flash!

Another heartfelt, humble, yet enthusiastic and overzealous shoutout to wmchicago, possibly the best blogger ever. Thanks to her I now have the hottest music playlist on my blog.

Also, we (no, not my tapeworm, my cronies and I) have set up dual camp at FruitySoaps, a highly under-informed, completely biased, yet hopefully light-hearted and whimsical site dedicated to the discussion and critique of all things cinematic. And whatever else may hit our fancy. Please feel free to peruse at your leisure.

Fear no more dear readers, a new (real) post is forthcoming!

Til then, which song do you like the most on my hot red playlist?

"Comfortable" by John Meyer is an all-time favorite! A movie critic blog by three of my favorite and most hilarious people. Awesome.

I have to go with Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia). It makes me nostalgic. Reminds me of when I was in Elementary School and trying to be cool like my older High School brother by listening to the music he did. You better believe I had all those words memorized. Aw yeah.

When I moved into my apartment at Crown #9 sophomore year of college to share a room with an utter and complete stranger, I was wary of what sort of creature she might be...until the day I put on US3 and asked her if she knew the song... and suddenly out of nowhere...

"Jump to the jam, boogy woogy jam slam
Bust the dialect I'm the man in command
Come flow with the sounds of the mighty mic masta
When I rhyme on the mic I bring a sucka disasta
Beaucoup bucks and I still rock Nike
With the razzle dazzle star I might be
Scribble scrabble on the microphone I babble
As I flip the funky words, into a puzzle
Yes yes yes, on and on as I flex
Get with the flow words manifest
Feel the vibe from here to Asia
Dip trip - flip fantasia..."

Yes, to this day, she is one of my very best friends in the whole entire world.

Oh, I just saw and stole your REM "Nighswimming" song. A Dawson's Creek episode introduced me to that song. Yup, I was and still am a Dawson's Creek fan. And, I totally own it. Though, it never had such quality quotes like "...Stupid Date." ;)
