My escapade of two days ago has rendered me temporarily lame and quarantined to my house until the swelling of my knees diminishes.
Limited to the couch and elevated legs, I had no choice but to surf the melee of daytime TV channel offerings, mostly informational commercials and children's cartoons... until my eyes lit upon the "Sleuth" channel and it's 3-5 pm lineup of The A-Team and Knight Rider.
Joy is mine!! As I write this, David Hasselhoff is seducing the wily Geena Davis (is she or isn't she the infamous cat burglar?!) in a three piece suit; soon to be exchanged for his typical tight jeans and leather coat. I must take a moment to ruminate on how in the space of twenty years, his phsyical appearance has remained exactly the same. (I would have found better pictures, but the thought of having to sift through any photographs of David Hasselhoff at all makes me slightly ill...)
One must opine, though, on K.I.T.T. and its fantastical properties... in this episode alone, the 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am has scanned someone's physique for health injuries, detected scratch marks on the surface of a building for signs of breaking and entering, dredged up photographs and personal information on a plethora of people (before the age of the Internet, mind you), and, according to Knight Rider Online (yes, there really is such a site), "was impervious to attack, could cruise at 300 mph, could leap up to 50 feet through the air, and was loaded with such armaments as flamethrowers, smoke bombs, and infrared sensing devices. Best of all, it could talk..."
Personally, I find K.I.T.T.'s voice way sexier than anything Michael Knight can throw at me. It must be the rotating red sensor light...
...however, if we are going to debate any sort of 80's television show sex appeal, the blue ribbon, hands down, goes to MacGyver. I'll take him and his mullet any day, any time. Please, a moment, if you will:
Whoa, an American Tail is on. Gotta go...

What about Hasselhoff's performance during the finale of "American Idol"?
Confusion.
