Pet Peeves Part II

We'll make this short, as it's not good to dwell on the negative. Don't worry, Favorable Foibles is forthcoming...
  • orange Flinstones vitamins. They're just disgusting.
  • 'mandatory' installations on my work computer that automatically restart my computer without my permission
  • cockroaches in the office bathroom. Where is our federal funding going?
Okay, that is all.

For those who *claim* to not have contributed last time due to whatever-constraints... now is your time to speak up!!

I hate fortune cookies that do not have a fortune, but rather some dumb statement. I also am anti-MTV, because they don't play music. If CNN only showed news 2 hours a day, would we call it a news network? How is MTV a music station? If fortune cookies aren't going to have fortunes, and Music Television won't play music, they should change their name.

Technically, CNN only has 2 hours worth of news a day ... and then they recycle. If anyone has watched CNN during an 8 hour workday, it's painful. I agree wholeheartedly with the MTV and fortune cookie items.

I hate people who don't use their blinker. It's common courtesy. A flick of the wrist and everyone's life is better!

I hesitate to use the word "hate," but the deterioration of the English language via the internet due to laziness, 1337, and other disturbing trends really irks me. We have standard spelling and puncutation rules for a reason, people! They facilitate communication! They preserve our heritage! They keep you from looking like an idiot!

That is all. For now.

Fortuneless fortune cookies are, perhaps, better than ones that say "you are a very forgiving friend."...? I mean, if it's a 'fortune', does that mean that you currently aren't a forgiving friend and will soon become so in the near future?

Wendi, I shamelessly admit to not using blinkers. But only early in the mornings and late at night. Who's looking?

Cabezon, I fully support the preservation of the usage of proper English. Put my name down for any petitions you might submit...
